Hands on: Razer Blade Stealth 2020 Review | Trusted Reviews

The new Razer Blade Stealth 2020 sees a graphics upgrade with Nvidia's new GTX 1650 Ti, but is it powerful enough to please the gamer crowd?

Razer Blade (2017) review

Razer's sleek Blade is faster than ever, and now has a sensible display

Razer’s Blade 15 doesn’t look like a gaming laptop, but it behaves like one

It may not look like a gaming laptop, but it certainly is one — for better and worse.

Solid build quality with understated design ; Great high-refresh rate display ; Plenty of power for gaming, productivity, or creative work ; Windows Hello login and lots of useful ports

Shallow keyboard with frustrating layout quirks ; Poor palm rejection on the trackpad ; Abysmal battery life ; Loud, constant fan noise

So while I love the looks of the Blade 15 Advanced, especially in the Mercury white finish, and I adore the power on tap and the buttery-smooth display, it’s not a computer I can really recommend for anything other than gaming.

Razer Blade Advanced: One of our favorite gaming designs, but be prepared to pay for it

The 15-inch Razer Blade makes the jump to new Nvidia RTX graphics, but even the entry level RTX model is expensive.

Typically great Razer design, at its best in the alternate Mercury White color scheme. Excellent performance, especially considering the small size. One of the only gaming laptops with a very thin screen bezel.

Faster RTX 2070 and RTX 2080 GPUs are not available in the white color scheme. The system can get very hot, which has led to some online complaints.

The Razer Blade 15-inch gaming laptop keeps up with the Nvidia RTX trend. The base model feels expensive, but the higher-end version hits a good mix of price and performance.

Razer Blade Stealth (2019)

Razer's 2019 Blade Stealth ultraportable, a smart refinement of its excellent predecessor, packs a sharp (and sharp-edged) redesign, a new dedicated graphics option, and snappy performance with a strong supporting feature set.

Sleek redesign. Super-thin bezels enable smaller footprint. Good performance (and discrete graphics option). Choice between 1080p and 4K displays. Bigger touchpad, better keyboard. Long battery life. USB-C with Thunderbolt 3.

No more per-key keyboard backlighting. Models configured with Nvidia graphics can get pricey.

Bottom Line: Razer's 2019 Blade Stealth ultraportable, a smart refinement of its excellent predecessor, packs a sharp (and sharp-edged) redesign, a new dedicated graphics option, and snappy performance with a strong supporting feature set.

Razer Blade Stealth review

One of the unexpected surprises from earlier this year was the Razer Blade Stealth , a high-end 12.5-inch ultrabook from Razer that represented a major shift for that PC and accessory maker. Rather than another highly designed gaming laptop, the...

The Razer Blade Stealth includes a Core i7 processor and high-res touchscreen even in its lowest-end configuration; it has more ports than other 12-inch laptops and a fun Chroma backlit keyboard.

It's bigger and heavier than 12-inch laptops from Apple, Asus and others. The thick bezel around the screen feels dated and configuration options are limited.

The Razer Blade Stealth offers better specs for less money than the competition, and includes features others lack, such as a high-res touch screen and full-size USB ports. The design is slick, the price is right, but it's not as slim and portable as...

Razer Blade (2015, QHD+) review: A gaming laptop in a class by itself

Razer's Blade is a rare thin-and-light laptop that has the features and performance of a gaming system. And it looks damn good, too.

The Razer Blade is an impressive laptop thanks to its gorgeous display, responsive keyboard and touchpad, and excellent gaming performance for its size. It looks good, too.

It comes with the territory, but the bottom back of the Blade can get very hot, and the fans can get quite loud trying to cool it down. This kind of performance in a thin-and-light body doesn't come cheap.

Whether it's for gaming, multimedia enjoyment, work or all of the above, the Razer Blade is a fantastic choice if you need high performance but don't want to sacrifice mobility to get it.

Razer Blade 2015, QHD+

Inside its 13.6-inch-wide-by-9.3-inch-deep frame (345 by 235mm), you'll find a high-performance Intel mobile processor backed by 16GB of memory, Nvidia's GeForce GTX 970M with 3GB of its own memory and your choice of a 128GB, 256GB or 512GB solid-state...

Razer Blade (2015)

The newest Razer Blade boasts impressive features and great performance, making it the ultraportable gaming machine to beat.

Sleek, light design. Indium Gallium Zinc Oxide (IGZO) display with 3,200-by-1,800 resolution and touch capability. Intel Core i7-4720HQ CPU and 16GB memory. Nvidia GeForce GTX 970M GPU. Improved performance and battery life over previous iteration

Gets very hot. Discrepancy between graphics and display capability

The 2015 version of the Razer Blade ($2,399.99 as tested) is the latest in the company's highly influential ultraportable gaming laptop line. The previous model, the Razer Blade (2014) left us feeling a bit disappointed, with a short battery life and...

Razer Blade 2014 review: A beautifully sleek gaming laptop gets even better with touch

Can a better high-res touch display and new graphics make Razer's latest gaming computer the ultimate portable powerhouse?

The new Razer Blade boasts the same beautifully thin design, but adds a sharp 3,200x1,800 touch display and advanced Nvidia graphics.

The battery life is worse than last year's model's. Adding more SSD storage can turn this into a pricey laptop.

Razer’s newest gaming laptop trades ultralong battery life for a fantastic screen and even better graphics. It’s a trade worth making: this is the best Razer gaming laptop, and the best thin gaming PC anywhere.
