Lenovo Legion 5 Pro (2021)

The Lenovo Legion 5 Pro has an innovative 16:10 display alongside an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 – has Lenovo's gamble paid off?

Impressive gaming and processing power ; An innovative and bold 16:10 display ; Plenty of ports and some clever placement ; A comfortable and well-designed keyboard

Occasionally noisy ; Mediocre battery life ; Irritating trackpad

The Lenovo Legion 5 Pro features an innovative and high-quality display, combining with powerful components to deliver an absorbing and impressive gaming experience. However, be aware of the disappointing battery life, and make sure you have a USB...

Lenovo Legion 5 Pro review: The antidote for thin, expensive gaming laptops

Gaming laptops keep getting thinner and more expensive. The Legion 5 Pro puts an end to that trend -- in a good way.

Excellent gaming performance ; Gorgeous 1440p display ; Satisfying, accurate keyboard ; Good cooling

Cheap touchpad ; Thick and chunky

“The display quality and performance make the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro a fantastic midrange gaming laptop.”

Lenovo Legion 5 Pro Review

Class-leading multithreaded CPU performance ; Major gaming muscle with GeForce RTX 3070 ; 16-inch display is roomy, crisp, fast, and bright ; Solid build quality ; Comfortable keyboard with number pad

Drab design for a gaming laptop ; Bulky chassis paired with hefty power brick ; 512GB SSD limits size of local game library

It's not flashy, but Lenovo's Legion 5 Pro teams an AMD Ryzen 7 5800H processor with GeForce RTX 3070 graphics to deliver spectacular performance for the price.

Lenovo Legion 5 Pro review: Gaming perfection?

With a 3:2 aspect ratio 1600p screen, the Legion 5 Pro does things a little different. But it also does things oh so right. Here's why it's a fave.

Bright and sharp 165Hz screen ; Great performance ; Very good build quality in most areas ; Laidback design ; Good value

So-so plastic touchpad ; The speakers offer no real bass

Great built quality, excellent performance and good value: this Lenovo is one of the best gaming laptops of 2021. The touchpad is the one significant weak point. But we'd recommend using this laptop with a mouse anyway.

Lenovo Legion 5 Pro review: AMD and Nvidia in harmony

Lenovo's Legion 5 Pro gaming laptop delivers massive performance at a reasonable price

Bright 16-inch, QHD 165Hz display ; Fantastic keyboard with numpad ; Excellent productivity and gaming performance ; Solid battery life ; Comprehensive port selection

Bland and heavy chassis ; Only four-zone RGB ; Runs warm

Lenovo's Legion 5 Pro is a great gaming laptop with a bright 16-inch QHD display, a fantastic keyboard, and speedy performance by way of an unlikely AMD and Nvidia pairing.

Lenovo Legion 5 Pro (16ITH6) review: Larger WQXGA 165Hz display hampered by the GPU

Our Lenovo Legion 5 Pro (16ITH6) review looks at a gaming laptop with a 16:10, WQXGA, 165Hz display. Bigger is better with the right specs.

Decent build quality ; Plenty of ports, including two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ; Nice 165Hz WQXGA IPS display ; Great performance for most tasks ; Wi-Fi 6

Subpar gaming with RTX 3050 at WQXGA resolution

Don’t get me wrong. Overall, the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro is a great laptop… for the most part. While it performs great for basic day-to-day tasks, you’ll get the best gaming performance by reducing the 2560×1600 resolution to 1920×1200 with the base...

Lenovo Legion 5 Pro Gen 7 hands-on: A stylish and powerful gaming laptop

The Lenovo Legion 5 Pro Gen 7 could be one of 2022's best laptops — here are our initial impressions.

Stylish design ; Powerful GPU and CPU ; Advanced cooling features

Big and bulky

Based on my limited time with it, the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro Gen 7 appears to be a worthy successor to the Legion Pro 5. The Alder Lake processor and RTX 30 series GPU will no doubt provide exceptional gaming performance compared to current-gen models. I...

Lenovo Legion 5 Pro review

The Lenovo Legion 5 Pro provides solid build quality and an understated design for a fair price. With an AMD Ryzen 7 5800H CPU and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 GPU, it can play any game out there.

Plenty of power ; Understated aesthetic ; Big 16-inch display with 165Hz refresh rate ; Excellent build quality

Bulky, with huge 300W charger ; Keyboard feels mushy ; Weak speakers

Lenovo’s Legion brand name doesn’t hit as hard as, say, Razer, Alienware, or Asus ROG, but this laptop proves that Lenovo means business. If gaming laptops are your thing, the Legion 5 Pro is worth keeping in mind.
