Attractive design, excellent image quality, 720p movie mode, reliable Smart Auto mode

Scant manual modes, casing could be a little more scratch resistant

With the exception of its premium price tag, the Canon IXUS 120 IS compact digital camera is pretty hard to fault. It looks amazing and is capable of taking some breathtaking photos. What's more, it will fit in practically any pocket.

The Canon PowerShot SD940 IS may be tiny (think cell-phone size), but it packs lots of goodies.

Very small build. Simple user interface. Fast shooting speeds. HD video capture. Mini-HDMI out.

Small control buttons. Images are soft.
