The Toshiba the Toshiba 47ZV650U ($1300, as of 09/20/09) is a pleasant-looking HDTV that delivers a more than acceptable viewing experience, but its rough edges need smoothing, and it's short on extras.

Reasonably good picture ; Very good remote control

No onlne version of manual ; Difficult to use

The Toshiba 47ZV650U features solid picture quality, but it could be easier to use.

Toshiba ZV650U

Relatively inexpensive for a TV with a 240Hz refresh rate effect; accurate color; can separate antiblurring and dejudder functions; extensive picture settings; solid connectivity with four HDMI and one PC input; eye-catching styling.

Produces light black levels; somewhat uneven screen uniformity; benefits of 240Hz effect difficult to discern; glossy screen reflects ambient light.

Although subpar black levels keep it from besting the LCD champs, the Toshiba ZV650U series is still one of the better values among TVs with a 240Hz effect.

"4 YEARS AND STILL GOING STRONG"

 

I have the Toshiba REGZA 47ZV650U and love the tv. I had the tv for about 4 years now and have not had 1 problem with it yet. I use the tv everyday because I use it both as a tv and my computer monitor via HDMI. I even leave it on for hours sometimes...

The picture is great. Plenty of adjustment options in the menu to capture the style and look you are trying to view. 240Hz refresh rate gives me crisp clear video without any motion blur. Great sound from build in speakers.

Unable to max out on the PC inputs resolution but if you computer has a HDMI output you can connect it and get at least 1080p and just not use the PC input. Not the worst but not that great viewing darks and shadows.

Can not recommend

 

If you want to buy this TV, don't get it from Newegg, get it from somewhere that will actually take a return.

None as of yet

TV came with a defective panel, many dead pixel lines on the screen. No damage to the panel from shipping or anything. Was manufactured Nov. 09. Have to get a repairman to come out to replace panel, very inconvenient
