Papperskarta och kompass i all ära. Om du vill slippa gå vilse i skogen har du bättre hjälp av en bärbar gps. Men kartorna är dyra. Bara en av åtta testade gps:er har en vettig topografisk karta som ingår i köpet.

Don't waste your money

 

Read some online reviews before purchasing this product.It seems really hit and miss if you get a unit that works properly.I sent this unit back and bought a Garmin and love it so far.

Great satellite aquisition and seemed accurate

The included base map is worthless.If you upload maps from Nat Geography topo they are blurry when zoomed in.Compass would not calibrate after numerous attempts.Locked up my computer whle uploading maps

I believe they/Magellan eventually will have an excellent GPS handheld to offer in the future....This could be good for the person on foot, I used mine mostly with bicycle.

Windows CE operating system can probably be upgraded and changed readily...Nice interface

Backlight does not go dim enough ; Not very bright for direct sun...The interface font is too small for me...Currently there is no detailed street maps available for the device, only base that only shows major highways, so no turn by turn yet...No...

Newegg has excellent service, pricing and availability

Absolute junk. First one lasted 10 days so I returned it to the store I purchased it from and ordered one from Newegg. The second unit lasted about 2 weeks so I sent the unit to Magellan(their problem not Newegg), 25 days later they returned a unit...

Easy To Use

 

I received my Triton 500 faster than expected. Right out of the box it was very easy to use. Just be sure to print the User's Guide from Magellan. Even downloaded five Geocache's near home with little effort and with no trouble at all. You'll love this...

GPS Magellan Triton 500 : utilisation très complexe!

 

Nous l'avons acheté en remplacement d'un autre GPS de Magellan que le fabricant n'a pas voulu remplacer, au prix de faveur de 229€. Il était annoncé comme très convivial, d'utilisation intuitive etc.. Pour arriver à l'utiliser, j'ai dû faire moi-même...
