The Magellan RoadMate 5230T-LM GPS device simply isn't accurate enough, even though its 5-inch screen and budget price make it seem like a good value.

Great for the Price

 

Could not even tell this was a refurbished GPS. Worked great on a recent trip. The speed limit posting on the device was a great advantage and telling me of upcoming traffic cameras was also beneficial. Great GPS.

I was not impressed with this product and debated about sending it back. When you touched the screen it took a while for it to recognize what letters and numbers you were punching in. It seems like it's broken but I was in a pinch and needed to use it....

DOESN'T WORK

 

I've tried to get it to work and it doesn't want to receive a signal from the satellites. It is completely worthless. I even tried downloading the map update and it still doesn't work. I'm not sure what the next step is other than sending it back to...

Overall I am pleased with this unit for the price paid. Has been very accurate. Only gripe is about the blue traffic screen that I get if traffic is bad. You have to chose an option or you are staring at the blue traffic text screen.
