Responsive capacitive display, Bluetooth headset included, 2GB memory, decent call quality, video calls, intuitive interface, splash resistant

Large and bulky for a watch, style won't appeal to everyone, no memory card slot, excessive price, dialling and messaging hard to grasp

The LG GD910 watch phone works well considering the design limitations, but its price tag is simply ridiculous. If you've always wanted to pretend you're Dick Tracy or James Bond you'll be impressed. For everyone else, a watch phone isn't practical...

Is there actually a decent mobile beneath the LG Watch Phone?

Responsive touchscreen ; Cool design ; Strong alerts buzz

Still pretty expensive ; No video playback ; No 3.5mm headphone jack ; low resolution display

A cool gadget that surpasses expectations, but you'll have to really want the futuristic look to actually replace a proper phone

The LG GD910 watch phone is large and chunky. Though we appreciate the design constraints, it will be too large for many users, especially those with small wrists. It's also rather masculine looking, with a black-and-silver colour scheme and a square...

LG GD910 Watch-phone

 

Despite its size the GD910 is a joy to control, thanks to an excellent gesture-sensitive touchscreen that makes it easy to do anything, from choosing your watch face to making a call.

Until Samsung's watchphone arrives, the only timepiece to rival this LG is Sony Ericsson's unobtrusive MBW-150. Well, we say 'rival' but it doesn't actually make calls, instead hooking up to your mobile using Bluetooth. And it only works with Sony...
