Canon 40D

 

Sony and Nikon have or will have competitive camera out on the market but I have an invenstment with Canon lenes ans flash units so I am satisfied with staying with Canon at this point.

Best pictures I ever took in low light.

Almost Awesome...

 

Been using this lens a bunch, and the picture quality is very nice. I wouldn't say it's on par with my "L" series lenses, but it is excellent for the price. I also think it's much, much better than the cheap 50 f/1.8. I borrowed that lens from a friend...

Very good lens for that price I was working in low light and still good quality pictures

need to walk around since is a single focal but thats not really a problem

50mm 1.4 Can't beat it for the price

 

For the money...the lens performs really well. If you have the money and need F/1.2 and an "L" builty lens... the new 50mm 1.2L is for you.

Tack sharp images. F/1.4 is usable....the lens gets better at f/2.0

AF can be a little off at times... but...I haveowned the lens for 2 years now and find it very useful. The build quality is pretty nice. Not a "L" but it takes a beating.

Great Lens with Improving Results

 

Have been using this lens with my T2i in lieu of kit lenses (18-55mm and 55-250mm) over the past year. Am enthusiast/my extended family photographer by default. All of my best pictures have come with this lens. The problem I have with the lens is depth...

This is my all time favorite lens. Performs as well as any L lens........ if you know how to tickle it.

I've owned this lens for almost 7 years and have used it on the Digital Rebel XT and 40D with great results. The lens delivers very sharp images through the entire focal range except at f/1.4 where images can be a little soft but just a little. Focus...
