The Muse is a follow on to the original Lensbaby design, replacing it with one that is simpler but also allows interchangeable lenses. It's a very fun lens to play with for effects photography, that's also about all it's good for.

A creative and original effects lens. The effects depends on the photographer and how they use it, so it goes back to the old school talent/inspiration. Beyond that it's a no-brainer, just move the lens around until you see something you like and press...

My example I have to stop down the lens a lot and press in on it very hard to get a central spot in focus. Yes, I know plastic lens and all that, but some of my early shots were all haze ; Uses an odd method of setting the aperture by dropping in discs...
