Recently the Olympus company have been making a big splash concerning their PRO series lenses. It started in September 2013 with the M.Zuiko Digital 12–40 mm f/2.8 ED PRO; then the M.Zuiko Digital 40–150 mm f/2.8 ED PRO, the M.Zuiko Digital 7–14 mm...

I really love this lens. It is a lens that gives you possibilities you otherwise would not have as a mft user. Especially in dark environments. It is not a cheap lens. But in my opinion the price is appropriate. My cons are some nit picking. Some little...
great image quality- f2.8 and very useful focal lengths- I haven't spotted any CAs yet- weather sealed- manual focus clutch- well built- good work with sources of bright light inside the frame (far better than 12-40 f2.8)
big and heavy for a mft lens (handling on smaller mft cameras with no grip is bad; on my E-M1 I always attach the battery grip when using this lens to improve balance and handling)- tripod collar can only be attached/removed when lens is detached from...

With the M.Zuiko 12-40 f2.8 PRO and the MC-14 converter, we have 24-420mm equivalent in a really small package. Paired with the Olympus E-M1 is a top quality equipment.
Weatherproof, all metal, manual focus clutch, f2.8 constant, fast and acurate focus, very interesting lens hood, image quality, very good zoom range. In general, optional MC-14 teleconverter, top quality Olympus lens and corrrect price for the quality
A little heavy (800g) and big (f2.8)
