When mounted on the A700, the Sony 100mm ƒ/2.8 macro provided excellent results almost across the board; the only possible objection would be that it wasn't tack-sharp at ƒ/2.8, but at 1.5 blur units, to ask for more would be very demanding.

There's a lot of 'retro' about this Sony lens, from its appearance and finely ridged focus ring to the grumbling autofocus motor. The autofocus also seems as slow and imprecise as anything from 25 years ago

Voorlopig als zeer goed! De Sony 100mm f/2.8 Macro wordt door testredacteuren gezien als één van de betere Objectieven/lenzen. Maar we moeten wel de kanttekening plaatsen dat de Sony 100mm f/2.8 Macro (nog) niet vaak getest is voor een duidelijk beeld....

Nice Lens

 

Nice lens, good contrast , but quite a bit of focus hunting in my lens! Light weight lens and feels cheep but I am very satisfied results with the resulting images.
