Brother DCP-130C

 

Given the number of printers and MFDs (multifunction devices) rolling off the assembly lines every year, it's easy to forget how much thought goes into designing new models. Until you see a product of the calibre of the Brother DCP-130C, that is.

Overall, HP's PhotoSmart C3180 is perhaps preferable on print quality. However, the Brother is very impressive, and if you're more interested in robust paper feeding and convenient design, this is a strong contender.

Never buying Brother products again. They ruined my first impression.

Compact ; Support response was good however

Uses more ink auto-cleaning than ever. It cleans all the time and I barely use it. I have had printers last over a year on one set of ink cartridges and this DCP-130c used four sets in 8 months!!!?!??!?!? I only print about 4-10 pages a month in gray...

OK I guess

 

I was unlucky. No way for me to tell how often this happens.

Compact size, fast, print quality is very good, I like the controls, ink not too expensive

It died just before I needed it for a time-sensitive project. I couldn't wait for the RMA turnaround so I had to buy another printer

Be sure to check the website and update the firmware if needed.

I've owned this printer for about a year and a half and have had no issues with it. Reasonable price, excellent use of ink, quiet, good resolution across all boards, print quality, and ease of use. I was actually quite surprised with this

Not exactly the fastest printer in the world but for the average person it is more than adequate. Doesn't seem to handle photo paper all that well as it clumps a few sheets together but the pro's far outweigh the con's

oh brother. a follow -up.

 

This is a follow up of owning the product about 6 months *

6 months of solid, a-few-jobs-a-day printing, and it says it's only half way out of ink. I can't believe it. I don't know how it's still not out of ink

Most of the printer is decently high quality, especially compared to the 25$ Lex's you'll find at Wally-World
