Excellent scan quality, excellent range of scanning tools, good software bundle, easy to use, well made

Plastic film holders are flimsy

Better software, better scans (just) with the same great build quality (barring the plastic film holders), to paraphrase Carlsberg’s beer adverts “almost certainly the best flat scanner in the world”.

The Perfection V750 Pro is the second of Epson's premium quality flatbed scanners launched this year, following the V700. The two A4 scanners boast the same components, including ...

High-quality output from 35mm or medium format film, similar to dedicated film scanners. Features Digital ICE defect removal, and an optional fluid mounting bed.

Large footprint for its class. Slow when quality-enhancing features are used, SilverFast can't access ICE grain reduction and colour restoration separately.

The V750 is a useful improvement over the V700, and the difference in price is reasonable considering the value of the bundle. The set-up produces fine results even with 35mm originals, but you have to trade quality against speed
