The HP L1940 possesses many of the checklist items you'd expect in a desirable 19-inch LCD. Height, swivel, and pivot adjustments? Check. Easy-to-use controls? Check. Attractive design? Check. But on the most important item, screen quality, the L1940...
Extra physical adjustments
Very poor graphics quality
Among the L1940's faults, jurors cited a dark screen with a chilly cast that some perceived as blue or blue-green. Letters appeared blurry on several text screens, particularly the Microsoft Excel screen. And dull colors hampered the monitor's...

HP L1940 We love adjustable displays, especially those destined for business use, so we were happy to see the HP L1940 and its double-hinged neck and its base that swivels 360 degrees. Unfortunately, this particular design may be a case of too much of...
Clear text; highly adjustable.
Unstable base; no pivoting software, speakers, or headphone jack.
The HP L1940 is an average-priced 19-inch LCD with decent image quality and so much adjustability that it's a tad unstable.

The HP L1940 is a 19-inch LCD monitor with an attractive price, some nice extras—and a few drawbacks.
Portrait-mode rotation. Digital and analog inputs. Attractive features.
Viewing-angle performance is limited in portrait mode. Poor light gray response with analog signal.

its a little pricey but well worth it. looking at the date of the last review it looks like these aren't selling well. it would be a total shame for these great monitors to stay sitting in the warehouse. so buy one!
its huge compared to my old monitor.it has excellent picture quality especially with the dvi cable. great for gaming. takes a lot less power than a crt
doesn't come with a dvi cable
Brugeranmeldelse (newegg.com)
Display quality is excellent.
USB seems kind of pointless since the ports are hidden under the bottom.
Brugeranmeldelse (newegg.com)
When you use this monitor in the portrait mode, you have to turn it to the left 10-20 degrees to optimize the viewing angle for uniform brightness across the screen.
Brugeranmeldelse (newegg.com)
Excellent monitor for the money, absolutely no problems with it.
doesnt come with dvi cable.
Brugeranmeldelse (newegg.com)
Very bright and good image quality through DVI from an ATI X1950XT.
As others have mentioned, a little bit of backlight bleed at the top of the screen, though it's far better than some LCDs I've seen.
Brugeranmeldelse (newegg.com)
This is an excellent monitor for the price.
None.
