Shedding Garmin's usual sporty look for something more akin to a traditional timepiece, the Vivomove Trend is an interesting prospect.
Great look ; Well integrated digital display ; Impressive array of fitness and wellness features ; Handy wireless charging
Fiddly to get to some sub-menus ; Not your typical big Garmin battery life ; Higher quality displays on other Vivomove watches ; Not much cheaper than Vivomove Style
The Vivomove Trend fits in well with Garmin’s other hybrid smartwatches, offering a nice design and useful fitness, health and smartwatch features but it feels too close in price to the Vivomove Style, which offers more battery in watch mode and an...

Do you want the excellent, free Garmin health and fitness platform wrapped up in a cool, fashionable smartwatch? The Vivomove Trend is for you.
Hybrid, fashionable design Hidden screen is clear and sharp Comprehensive health platform No ongoing subscription fee Wireless charging
Reflective screen hinders visibility Slow responsiveness Standard strap isn't very comfortable
“The Garmin Vivomove Trend hybrid smartwatch's fashionable design looks superb, and Garmin's free health and activity platform challenges the best. But the price puts it right up against some serious competition.”

Qi charger not included ; “Short” battery life ; Muddles Garmin’s hybrid lineup
The only thing that gives me pause is the Trend’s price. At $270, it’s only about $30 cheaper than the Vivomove Style . And if you get the gold versions of the Trend, they’re the same price. The main difference between the two is the Trend has Qi...

You'd be hard-pressed to find a better hybrid option for both looks and Garmin perks, but this watch won't be for everyone. It's a more attractive hybrid watch than the Instinct Crossover, but how many Garmin users want a touch-only experience?
