When I first purchased this controller some distros of Linux were lacking support, but it appears to be getting better.

Battery backup is seperate if you like your data, I recomended that you order it also.

This card is awesome.

Price, but it's worth every penny.

The card performs well, the management interface is detailed and well laid out, and the multilane connector makes cable management easier.

I've experienced a number of compatibility problems with the card, all of which have required firmware patches provided by 3ware.

Proper HW Raid, this is the crown jewel of my new rig.

The proprietory cables that ship are too long.

PRICE!!! I really question my having spent as much as a new mother board would have run for reliable RAID 10 operation.

It is very fast (using 2 Raptor 150s) and the RAID BIOS is easy to understand.

Building the array as the boot directory in Windows was a bit of a trial and error challenge.
