Excellent Value

 

If you compare this system to modern PC's of course it's no contest. If you need a basic pc that runs minimal games, email and internet, then this machine will do just fine.

Very inexpensive. Will run XP okay, but you need to remove the extra animated menus and stuff. It's a small package that you can shove most places. We had about 300 of these at one point with ZERO motherboard problems. Graphics, NIC, and HD's, but...

Comes with 512mb. That's really the minimum. You want to give XP at least a 1GB so that pages and programs can open smoothly. The system gets warm. Provide as much ventilation as possible ; A graphics card will sit right next to the PSU exhaust so...

Not worth the money...

 

These gotta be like 8 years old. $100 is better spent elsewhere. I bet if you looked around locally, you could find the same/similar for less than $100

Inexpensive

Old as dirt. We had a bunch of these at work. They were fine during their day as far as performance goes...except for they are known to have bad capacitors. Maybe they are refurbished with new/better caps

Small form factor causes serious overheating

What an aweful machine...

 

I am on the IT Staff Member for a local School District and we have a lot of these around. We have to service them on a regular basis and they are plagued with defects. I highly suggest just steering clear of these. There is no value in these stinkers....

After years of abuse, they still work. But that's not saying much

These things are dead-slow. They also require maintenance on a regular basis. To make matters worse, they are plagued with bad motherboard issues. Dell had a recall for motherboard, but the recall window closed in 2008

Old, so very old

 

Please ignore dell lovers review, it appears to be an automated review. This machine is NOT cutting edge, it wasn't 10 years ago either

It has a small form factor

I had a customer using these systems. They started as Windows 98 systems and tried very hard to run XP. Extremely limited memory upgrades and you need special memory. The optical drive is a laptop style drive, so if you need more than what it offers...
