Paid $119.99 + 0 ship, a fair price. Passed all tests except optical drive (see cons below). I tested all ports and ran Seatools on the Seagate HDD and Memtest86+ on the RAM. No leaking caps on mobo. Very clean cosmetic condition inside and out. Grade...

Optical drive tray would not eject. Easy and low cost fix: swaped in a replacement drive. BIOS is setup for QuickBoot and NO POST prompts. If you need to access the BIOS use F10.

Windows NOT genuine

 

I'm sure not *all* of the OSs are non-genuine, but be prepared that this system may end up costing you an extra $50-100 (unless you want to use Linux).

Clean exterior; keyboard had all the keys; powered on quickly once I pressed the power button; fits under my desk.

Pirated copy of Windows! Immediately was notified of non-genuine version running. I have never had a problem with Newegg before, so I don't put blame on them. And, honestly, I expected more from HP. Buyer beware.

Good Basic Office Desktop

 

I had 5 aging XP machines (4 in our office, and 1 with my parents). This option allowed me to change all of them out with a minimum of fuss and expense. The one question I did have was answered quickly by the AST tech support.

Basic Windows 7 install. No unwanted add-ons. Slim case. Adequate memory and hard drive.

Didn't have any.

Refurb is by a company called AST which is mentioned. Also not mentioned is their cheap keyboard and mouse which is included in the package.

Stock Windows 7 installed with none of the usual HP bloatware. Slim case.

DVD drive is read only. Small hard drive.

great for the price

 

makes a great cheap little media and file server using an external HD. could maybe get away using a 6450 video card but buying a ROKU to stream trough is better with no risk to the unit.

Basic business platform unit. Easy and cheap to upgrade memory to 8gigs. cheap upgrade options on CPU. even a novice tech can work on the unit.

video card upgrades virtually impossible because limited by 240W power supply.
