Budget work horse unit for home server.

 

Using this unit as a home media server and video transcoder. Great price for function. No regrets, would buy again.

Powerful CPU Decent RAM provided (still has room to grow) Big HDD (Slow, but its an HDD, I cloned the image and installed an SSD instead, using provided HDD for storage now) Small Form Factor (small desktop footprint) Lots of USB ports

Refurb model - Onboard video appears to be dead. - Unit came with a Nvidia Quadro NVS 285 to account for this (Awesome) -- Didn't come with a DMS-59 adapter for the card (had to spend extra $20, not so awesome)

Nice machines for the money

 

Ok so here's the deal. Nice little machines for the money, but they are refurbished. Expect some minor annoyances. That being said 3 of the 4 were good machines, the 4th was missing 3/4s of the ram. Only came with 2gb of ram if you can believe it! The...

One came with 2 gbs of ram and a jammed case. Others were good. They also have some junk anti-virus that makes you wait 20 minutes to uninstall it on the machine if you try to take it off. Must be some money making deal for them to install it on each...
