Lenovo ThinkCentre M75e Review

Desktops may not be as fashionable as notebooks these days, but they're still often the most cost-effective way to get significant processing power. Lenovo's ThinkCentre M75e has the grunt, thanks to a 3.0GHz quadcore AMD's Athlon II X4 640 processor,...

Compact tool-less design, capable performance, support for dual independent display out of the box, minimal bloatware, very comfy keyboard, low power consumption

Lenovo's ThinkCentre M75e + Two L1951P 19" Monitors: Enterprise Computing Bliss?

Lenovo sent me a small form factor ThinkCentre M75e desktop computer along with two Lenovo L1951P 19" monitors to check out. After looking at two of their all-in-one systems recently (the A70z and the M90z), it was a big change to look at a corporate...

3 Ghz of quad-core power and 4 GB of RAM for under $800;, Fairly quick boot time of 36 seconds;, Dual monitor support right out of the box

If you put it up on your desk, you might find it a bit loud if you have a quiet work environment;, 19" monitors seem a bit small in this age of 20"+ monitors;, Internal speaker rattles frequently

Very nice machine for the price

In W7, the way to enable AHCI after installation is - - Set BIOS back to IDE - Start Windows - Run Registry Editor - Go to HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Msahci - Change the "Start" value to 0 - Reboot and go to BIOS immediately - Set BIOS to...

Nice specs for the price. We bought several of these for various locations. Time will tell how well they perform in the long run. Not a lot of bloatware

Only 2GB of RAM, but 2 more GB is cheap (<$20). Also, the BIOS has hard drive set to IDE. Switching to AHCI causes Win 7 to hang on boot. I found a workaround (below)
