solid aluminum enclosure work with Mac USB 3.0

 

this unit is compatible with Mac's Time Machine

I am upgrading my MacBook Pro hard drive to SSD drive, so I need an enclosure to store my original hard drive that I just pulled out. This enclosure works great and I got fast transfer rate connecting to my Mac's USB 3.0 port. very happy with it

Small, doesn't need separate power, no fan

Get something better made. I wanted a small, simple enclosure with no fan, but this thing is too cheap.

Small case. No fan. No extra power

Many, the most fundamental, it doesn't work ; The cheap, short cable they supply ruined one of my two USB3.0 ports ; Mounting of your drive is really cheesy and it's then hard to get the end cap back on. This with a standard 2.5" HDD ; It never worked....
