Note that I only use the keyboard. I threw out the mouse without trying it. I already have a logitech wireless trackball. I needed a wireless keyboard to go with it, and the price for this was reasonable enough.

To answer the question about the red A -- that is notification that the caps lock key has been pressed. To remove it simply press the Caps Lock key again.

I bought this combo set to get something for my recent pc build before I upgrade to more high end in the future. These work great and work perfectly. I really like the auto shut off feature on the mouse as I leave it on all the time.
