The DCR-TRV11 is a MiniDV camcorder with a MSRP $1399. It packs an over 600,000 pixel CCD for capturing ultra high resolution video. The camcorder includes a large 3.5 inch color LCD screen. The Sony camcorders have great battery times.

A High Price to Pay for A Small Camcorder

 

I don't actually own this camcorder. I was in need of one for a project, and borrowed this from a friend to use for two weeks. Over that time, I ended up using the TRV11 quite a bit, and found a lot of features on it that I almost couldn't have lived...

Small, takes still pictures, it's miniDV, good video and sound quality.

It is really expensive and has a short battery life.

Sony the one and only ?

 

Have had the Sony TRV-11 for over 9 months and it has performed at or above expectations as far as what I bought it for.

Excellent picture and sound quality. ; 10 ; Integrated Firewire / 1394 interface

Simply very good

 

This camera is a perfect choice for a amateur film maker-wannabe like myself.

Great movie picture. Lens is incredibly sharp.

Fragile mechanism. LCD hard to see in bright light. Some features only accessed thru remote.
