I never really used enough to review much beyond it sounded good with the CD and MP3 and Blue ray.

just after 2 years the audio cuts out on all my HDMI devices. i checked the troubleshooting, no help, after a quick search of the internet i found people have the same issue. when i went to the pioneer website this model is no longer listed on their site.

Refurbished pioneer VSX-522-K had slight malfunction ( rear speakers ) stopped working ...WOW!!! ( Newegg ) & ( Service Net inc ) Extended Service Plan had new one coming my way in 24hrs very fast support turn around that's got to be some kinda record

on-screen menu can only be viewed via analog signals. Meaning you need an analog output device to adjust some of the settings on the unit. This unit supports HDMI, but can't view their settings through it. What generation are we living in again?
