Toshiba Portege Z10t hybrid Ultrabook

Toshiba's Portege Z10t offers plenty of performance in a tablet that weighs only just over 800g

Full HD ; Feels light and easy to use as a tablet ; Backlit keyboard ; Good range of ports

Short battery life ; Keyboard dock stopped working at random times ; Can be a little noisy

Toshiba's Portege Z10t offers plenty of performance in a slim and very light form factor. It's a hybrid Ultrabook that ships with a keyboard dock, and as far as hybrid docks go, it's one of the better ones. The keys feel good and are backlit, and there...

Toshiba Portégé Z10T-A-106

Can Toshiba beat Microsoft at the hybrid tablet game?

Crisp, responsive touchscreen ; Quick and responsive ; Keyoard dock included

Screen doesn’t tilt too far back in laptop mode ; Keyboard and touchpad are a bit fiddly ; Battery life is short for a hybrid

In fact, we only have one big issue with the screen, and that’s down to its hybrid nature: when in the keyboard dock, the screen won’t lean back much further than 45 degrees, presumably because the top-heavy nature means it would topple over. This...

Toshiba Portege Z835 review

Lightest. Least expensive. Best selection of ports. There are tons of reasons to love this aggressively priced Ultrabook, though its dated design and so-so performance will turn off some shoppers.

Toshiba Portege R705 review

Stuck on the Toshiba Portege R705's magnesium alloy palmrest is a shiny sticker celebrating the company's 25 years of "laptop innovation." Now, we're the

Incredibly light 3.2-pound chassis ; Great manufacturing quality ; Boasts Intel Wireless Display technology

Runs warm ; Shorter battery life than promised ; Small keys

It's the right size and weight and it's built for business.

Active digitizer, with pen ; Strong benchmark performance ; Lightweight

Display half is thick for a tablet ; Resolution is only 1920x1080

If you really want a notebook/tablet hybrid with a detachable screen, Toshiba's Portege Z10t is the best execution of that idea, at least for now.

Toshiba Portege Z10t review

A convertible ultrabook, no dongles required

Thin, travel-ready ultrabook build ; Backlit keys ; Windows 7 driver support ; Plenty of ports

Shallow key presses ; That hinge isn't pretty ; Windows 8 ecosystem ; A bit chunky as a tablet

Toshiba Portege Z835 review: Toshiba Portege Z835

Toshiba Portege Z835

The ; offers more configuration options than most ultrabooks, and includes features, such as an Ethernet port, left out of other models.

The design worked fine on the least expensive ultrabook, but this more-expensive version doesn't look and feel as nice as the competition.

The original Toshiba Portege Z835 was a fantastic value that helped us overlook a weak touch pad/keyboard combo. This faster version is about $200 more, but keeps the same so-so design.

Toshiba Portege Z835 ultrabook review

In the last couple of weeks, ultrabooks — Intel's new category of ultrathin and ultralight laptops — have been arriving one by one, each aiming to derail the MacBook Air's lead with a mix of...

Incredibly light (even lighter than the 13-Macbook Air) ; Backlit keyboard ; Good battery life ; Very competitive price

Not the most attractive design ; Build quality could be better ; Screen is washed out ; Base configuration only has Core i3

The Z835 proves that Intel’s vision might not be so impossible after all

Review: Toshiba Portege Z835

Our expectations were low for Toshiba's ultrabook, but this $900 machine holds more than a few surprises.

Gorgeous display, great performance, ultra-cheap price, and dazzlingly light weight. More port options than most ultrabooks. Sleek and sophisticated looks despite the plastic construction. Above-average battery life at over 5 hours

More crashes than you can shake a MacBook Air at. Screen flexes ominously. Weak keyboard with ugly backlighting. Ports (almost all in the rear) are difficult to reach

Toshiba Portege 3505 review: Toshiba Portege 3505

Toshiba Portege 3505

Great design; screen swivels and folds; fastest CPU for a tablet; largest hard drive; USB 2.0 ports.

Big for a tablet; expensive; speaker is covered when screen is folded.

Toshiba stuffed the best of everything into the Portégé 3505 tablet, resulting in a versatile, portable powerhouse.
